Slideshare
There are a number of ways that you can share or view information online. The online formats include video, audio, presentations, screen sharing, and webinars, just to name a few. Of all of those methods, there is one that is pretty easy to put together for sharing information all over the Internet.
SlideShare is the world’s largest community for sharing presentations. With 50 million monthly visitors and 90 million page views, it is among the most visited 250 web sites in the world. Besides presentations, SlideShare also supports documents, PDFs, videos, and webinars.
With Slideshare, you can:
- Upload presentations publicly or privately
- Download presentations on any topic and reuse or remix (you can note permissions in your account)
- Embed on blogs, web sites, company intranets
- Share on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin
You can even create a slidecast, where you sync mp3 audio with slides to create a webinar. Or you can embed YouTube videos inside SlideShare presentations for a more robust slidecast. I’ve had problems syncing audio and video within a slidecast, so for my purposes, I just stick to the simple slide show.
