Getting Clear on Your Web Site Plan
I’m in the process of overhauling a major web site, and quite frankly, am overwhelmed at the thought of all the work I have to do. WriteMaps is a free web-based tool that allows you to create, edit, and share sitemaps online. As a WriteMaps user, you and your team will be able to build and access your sitemaps from anywhere, without having to rely on proprietary desktop apps and static files.
The service makes it very easy to add to and change your site map as often as you need to. You can add and sort pages, as well as view the map in an outline view. One of my favorite features is the ability to add fields for URL and notes to each page so that you remember what each page of your sitemap is to contain. You can also export the site map or share it with members of your team or colleagues.
