Here are my picks for this week. I’m not going to go into depth about the finds, but encourage you check them out if they sound interesting.
This is NOT a recommendation of these programs, as in most cases, I have not tried them nor am I using them. I’m just passing along the information for you to check them out for yourself.
Write Well: With all the writing I’m doing of late, I started seeking an alternative to Scrivener, the software I’d purchased years ago to help me write ebooks. However, this software impeded my writing because I found the interface confusing. I then discovered Write Well, which allows you to organize your document visually in chunks, manage your research and writing on one screen, and jump start your writing with 40+ outlines and templates. Success at last!
Pixabay: Source of free images and videos you can use anywhere. All images and videos on Pixabay are released free of copyrights under Creative Commons CC0. You may download, modify, distribute, and use them royalty free for anything you like, even in commercial application.
SmartShot: Cool little Google Chrome extension that gives you the easiest way to take screenshot and share it with one-click uploads. Capture the whole page or part of a page, lets you crop any part of the screenshot, draw or input custom text, and share the screenshot after it’s taken.
