Many times I’ll see something n a web page that I want to send to someone else. In order to do so, I have to take a screenshots and then open my image editor to insert highlighting, text, or an idea to share with the other person. Now there’s a handy little bookmarklet that makes this process so much easier.
Markup lets you draw on any webpage with a variety of tools to express your thoughts, make a point or just simply edit. You can choose to draw something freehand, put a circle or square around something, add text, or point an arrow to something. You can choose from a color palate for the color of your markup, as well.
Markup works in your browser, so there’s nothing to download and install. Just drag the free Get Markup icon into your bookmarks bar in Firefox, install the Google Chrome extension, or right-click and add to Favorites in Internet Explorer. When you want to make notes on a webpage, click your bookmarklet to load the Markup toolbar.
Once you’re done, hit “publish” and you’ll be given a link where others can see what you have “marked up.” No downloading needed.
