Niching Myself

I’ve just finished C.J.Hayden’s Get Clients NOW! marketing program. In order for me to be licensed to facilitate the program, I had to go through it as a participant.

I’ve relearned a few things about myself as a result of the experience. I always bite off more than I can chew, and my goals and actions I set for this marketing program definitely reflected that, as I didn’t meet many of the objectives I set for myself.

However, along the way, I had a great "ping", as my coach Chris Barrow would say, and while most people might say that my marketing efforts have been a complete flop as I planned them for this program, the value that I got was completed unexpected and worth its weight in gold in terms of the price I paid to be in the program. Without the work I did in the program, I don’t think I would have had this result.

I’ve long been seeking for a more refined niche market for my coaching practice, and over the last week, one has fallen out of the sky and hit me in the head, I think. It permits me to combine my love of working virtually, extensive knowledge of technology and resources, business experience as a virtual assistant/online business manager, superb brainstorming and idea-generating skills, and love for and skill in marketing. I think my true calling might be to help service business owners leverage their expertise into mutiple profit centers for their businesses.

I’ve coached several clients in this arena already, and did some live coaching/brainstorming with the members of my BNI group in my presentation I gave to them this morning. It feels good, and it’s easy to talk about.

Now, onward to developing the program..:)
