Even though I’m on top of the latest and greatest in marketing strategies for my business and my clients, staying on top of the latest and greatest technology in my life isn’t my greatest priority. Case in point — my cell phone is 6 years old, doesn’t take pictures, and is a
PITA to text from (not that I ever text! LOL). Eric tried to convince me to buy an iPhone several months ago, and even offered to buy one for me, but I declined, since the only reason I’ve used my cell phone lately is to see what time it is when we’re out someplace. So, I decided I didn’t need an expensive watch…
For Christmas, Eric asked me to arrange for the setup and purchase of DVR service from our cable company (in addition to adding Showtime so that we could watch Dexter, Weeds, and United States of Tara and not wait for the season’s DVD to be released). We’ve had DVR now for 2 months and we’re both loving it! It’s so cool to be able to watch our fav shows on our schedule, rather than on the schedule they’re televised. And, because Eric works so many nights and misses out on so much that goes on during weeknights, we can now record our fav shows and watch them together when he’s off, rather than me watching them and him pouting because he had to work the night the show was on. How did we ever live without this?? LOL
Perhaps at some point I might even be convinced of the value of the iPhone “watch.”
