The Lone Star State welcomed me back with open arms on Sunday, July 3, 2005, when I moved most of my belongings into storage and began my 2 month housesitting gig while I look for a place to live.
I took last week as a week of vacation, albeit unexpectedly. Through a comedy of errors (that wasn’t so funny at the time <g>), I had to leave my truck in Little Rock, which left me without my computer and basic office equipment last week. Hence, the unexpected vacation..:)
It felt great, however, to do nothing for a week but try and get settled. I played the "new kid in town" role to its fullest, and had lunch and dinner invitations all week long. It’s been hard to get back to reality this week and realize that I’m no longer on vacation but actually live here now.
I’ve got lots of changes planned for my business in the coming weeks. The first of these that you’re seeing is my new blog. I’ve just barely scratched the surface of this new software and have lots of updates and tweaks yet to make, but I wanted to get back to the task of blogging before more time slips away.
Drop a line and let me know what you’ve been up to!
