A time of sadness

I wanted to let you know that my mom, Jimmie Helen Gunter, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning (7/28/08) from complications from COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease). I was with her when she died, so I feel comforted by that fact.

I’ll be out of pocket this week and next, so you won’t be hearing from me again (no newsletter, no OnlineBizU.com updates, no blog posts) until the week of August 11th.

The JVFD has a special place in our lives.  My brother started there as a Junior Volunteer Fireman while he was in high school, and he served as chief for 2 different terms.  I believe that he was the youngest chief in the JVFD history, as well.  We have spent many a night and day at the firehall over the years for one reason or another, and the firemen have always been ready, willing, and able to help out my extended family whenever needed.
