So often when I fill out forms, the form limits the amount of words I can submit. Sometimes it’s a 50-word bio or a 25-word classified and I don’t want to open up Microsoft Word to do a word count.
That’s when WordCountTool.com comes in handy. This online tool permits you to paste your copy into their form, click on submit, and you have an instant word count of your copy.
This tool counts words made out of the alphabet, words made from a combination of letters and numbers, as well as words including an apostrophe ( ‘ ) and a hyphen ( – ). It will not count words starting with an apostrophe ( ‘ ) or a
hyphen ( – ), words made solely from numbers (like 1234 Jones Lane – 1234 will not be counted), or HTML tags.
