Do you have your Twitter set up to automatically reply whenever someone adds you as a friend? I'm using a combination of Twitter, Tweetlater, and Gmail to make that work. However, recently I noticed that my Twitter followers weren't being labeled in Gmail, and I no longer seemed to be automatically following the people who were following me.
I began to wonder what was going on and discovered today that my Twitter autoreplies weren't working, either. I checked the "from" line on the Twitter emails and noticed that they've changed it from noreply@twitter.com to "twitter-follow-…" (your email address here) and ends with …@postmaster.twitter.com. Yikes! I had no idea that the "from" address had changed! Gotta love that Twitter..;->
Once I went into Gmail and updated my filtering and forwarding instructions, all returned to normal. If you're using Outlook to manage your email, you can change your rule for the same effect.
Once I did this in Gmail, I applied the filter to all the Twitter emails sitting in my inbox and sent them the auto reply message. You can also do the same thing in Outlook by running your updated Twitter rule now.
Hopefully they won't change anything else for awhile..LOL
