Setting Your Financial Vision

For the last 2 months in the Self-Employment Success Coaching Gym, we have been discussing the "Control Your Finances" Strategy.  Part of this strategy entails creating your financial vision for the year, including your expected personal expenditures, business expenditures, and income to create this financial map for yourself.

Planning the lifestyle you want to live and then planning how to finance this lifestyle is an "inside-out" way of doing financial planning for your business.  Your business should exist to support you in the life you want to live, where you pay yourself first, instead of your business being a piece of drudgery that helps you sustain yourself in a "hand-to-mouth" existence.

Author Chellie Campbell writes in her book, The Wealthy Spirit, "If you don’t have a goal or a plan for spending additional money, you won’t bother to do what it takes to make it.  You’ll keep making what you’re already making and just getting by."
