I managed to survive my computer crisis pretty well last week, as my backup laptop, to which I have my desktop synchronized, served me pretty well while my desktop PC was having a new motherboard installed. My only issue was my email, which I think I resolved with a subscription to an online email platform. And, my client’s big event launch is over (hooray!), so life is slowly getting back to normal for me.
Yesterday, I received one Facebook comment and one comment during a phone conversation regarding my decision to focus on Internet marketing for introverts. Both had the same message, “Donna, I can’t believe you’re an introvert!” It’s not the first time I’ve heard this, by any means.
However, my husband will tell you that I’m a “scary hermit” introvert, not leaving the house for days at a time (because I work at home) or speaking in person (not including phone calls) with other people (other than him) for long stretches. He knows I live in my head alot, so when I decide to tell him something, he realizes he should listen because it’s important. And, given the option of either being at an event mingling with people or at home reading a good book, I’d choose the good book option just about every time.
I told my Facebook pal that I liked marketing my business online because I could be very “extroverted” in my efforts while maintaining my introvert core and values. And, obviously, my strategy works pretty well, if these two comments are any indication. And he agreed!
