Holiday Madness
Contrary to better advice, Eric and I chose to make a foray into the mad world of holiday shoppers this past Saturday. After our harried experience with our shopping trip the weekend before last, we had both sworn, "Never again!" I guess we have a short memory, as that experience didn't stop us from venturing into the hungry hordes again to run a few errands, none of which were holiday-related. Go figure. After being jostled, pushed, and run over for the second weekend in a row, we had both had enough. So, we decided to reinstitute our ban on out-of-town shopping in the big city (Beaumont) for the entire month of December. Last year's shopping ban worked out quite well, and I did all of my purchasing online. Sadly, that practice doesn't support local merchants, which I really like to do, but by buying online at home, I only have to deal with one mad shopper, my hubby. That's doable.:)
