Our last 3-day weekend of the year in the US, Labor Day weekend, came and went this past weekend. Eric and I must understand Labor Day to be a day (weekend) where you work like dogs, rather than taking it easy from labor..LOL. We spent the majority of the weekend doing chores around the house, but Eric did manage to put together his new hibachi grill and we enjoyed a wonderful Labor Day grilled feast on Monday.
For many parts of the country, Labor Day weekend the last hurrah of summer before the kids all go back to school. Here in the south, or at least in Texas, it’s not that big of a deal. The kids all started school in early to mid-August, and our summer goes on through October or so, although we have had some cooler mornings here lately–the temperature has been as low as 70 degrees in the early morning hours! I may have to grab my coat..LOL.
